{"id":52035,"date":"2014-01-21T10:00:00","date_gmt":"2014-01-21T08:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/germistoncitynews.co.za\/52035\/great-plans-for-the-year-aheadorlooking-for-tennis-fanaticsorlocal-tennis-club-invites-players\/"},"modified":"2014-01-21T10:17:05","modified_gmt":"2014-01-21T08:17:05","slug":"great-plans-for-the-year-aheadorlooking-for-tennis-fanaticsorlocal-tennis-club-invites-players","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/develop.citizen.co.za\/germiston-city-news\/sports-news\/2014\/01\/21\/great-plans-for-the-year-aheadorlooking-for-tennis-fanaticsorlocal-tennis-club-invites-players\/","title":{"rendered":"Great plans for the year ahead"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Ekurhuleni Tennis School of Excellence has started training at the Germiston Stadium, and children who want to play are most welcome.<\/p>\n<p>During practise, new and young, upcoming players will be introduced to a &#8220;tournament preparation training programme&#8221;.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>A new concept of &#8220;Play and Stay&#8221; was introduced during the last term of 2013, and will be re-enforced this year.<\/p>\n<p>This is a programme where youngsters, six to 10 years of age, play on smaller courts, as one tennis court is divided into six smaller parts.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>They are also taught how to score from the very first lesson and use smaller racquets and softer balls.<\/p>\n<p>This helps children to enjoy the game and to develop faster.
