The Dis-Chem store at The Square at Farrarmere, on the corner of Kei and Great North roads, closed its doors today, as did the Woolworths store.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Both have put notices up outside the stores, the one on the Woolworths door stating there has been a positive case of Covid-19 at the centre and they are going to take precautions by deep cleaning their store.<\/p>

Woolworths stated it will reopen tomorrow.<\/p>\n

24 Dis-Chem workers at Retail Park infected with Covid-19<\/a><\/p>\n

Dis-Chem stated the store is closed until further notice.<\/p>\n

The City Times is awaiting an official statement from Dis-Chem.<\/p>\n

Spokesperson for the property managers of the shopping centre Chrisann Govender said Dis-Chem \u201cwas closed since this morning\u201d but would confirm nothing further.<\/p>\n

Residents told the City Times it closed around noon.<\/p>\n

A Brentwood Park resident was in Dis-Chem to collect a prescription between 10:30am and 11am today and from there went to a Clicks to get cough mixture Dis-Chem did not have in stock.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhile I was getting the cough medicine I overheard someone telling the dispensary staff to put their masks back on as Dis-Chem was closing due to a positive case of Covid-19,\u201d the shopper said.<\/p>\n

Dis-Chem\u2019s store at the Retail Park shopping centre, in Boksburg, has 24 confirmed cases of Covid-19 among their staff and was visited by the Ekurhuleni MMC for Community Safety Frans Mmoko yesterday (Sunday).<\/p>\n
