arrested for assault"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>While visiting his brother and three of his brother\u2019s friends in the Delport informal settlement recently, a man allegedly witnessed an by boyfriend<\/a><\/h4>\n<p>\u201cThe complainant told police that while he, his brother and his brother\u2019s friends were talking, a man, unknown to him, walked past them,\u201d explained Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>\u201cOne of his brother\u2019s friends reportedly left the group to speak to the man.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll of a sudden the unknown man allegedly punched the victim.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>\u201cThe suspect was grabbed by several members of the community before he could flee the scene.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Police were called to the scene.<\/p>\n<p>The 29-year-old suspect was handed over to police without injury and was arrested on a charge of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.<\/p>\n<h4>ALSO READ:\u00a0<a class=\"anchor_post\" the members of the community for not taking the law into their own hands and for handing the suspect over to us without injury so that the law could take its course,\u201d said Maome.<\/p>\n<p>The arrested suspect has since appeared in the Germiston Magistrate\u2019s Court, where his case was postponed for plea and trial.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>Hav<\/strong><strong>e a
