lungs.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>It can spread to other parts of your body, like your brain and spine.<\/p>\n<p>A type of bacteria called mycobacterium tuberculosis causes it.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>A TB infection doesn\u2019t mean you\u2019ll get sick.<\/p>\n<p>There are two forms of TB: latent TB and active TB.<\/p>\n<h4>ALSO READ: <a Not infectious<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 No symptoms<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Normal chest X-ray<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Sputum smears and cultures negative<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Not a \u201ccase\u201d of TB<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Gene the germs multiply and can make you sick.<\/p>\n<p>You can spread the disease to others.<\/p>\n<p>Ninety per cent of adult cases of active TB are from the reactivation of a latent TB infection.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Active TB disease<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Tubercle bacilli in the body<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Usually positive skin test<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Infectious<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Symptoms of TB<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Chest X-ray usually abnormal<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Sputum smears and cultures usually positive<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 An active \u201ccase\u201d of TB<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Gene expert positive (Pos)
