Fidelity Services Group concerned about latest attempted CIT"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Fidelity Services Group CEO Wahl Bartmann has expressed his concern about the latest attempted cash-in-transit (CIT) robbery.<\/p>\n<p>The incident took place on the N3 south highway in Germiston on Thursday and resulted in a Fidelity officer being shot.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>He is in a critical condition in hospital.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement, Bartmann said that the Fidelity vehicle was ambushed by approximately 10 heavily armed suspects driving a white BMW 3 series and a white VW Golf 7.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>The crew came under heavy fire and were forced to stop the vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>On exiting the vehicle the driver was shot.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"color: firearms, but were unable to access any cash from the van.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur driver was airlifted by helicopter to hospital and remains in a critical condition,\u201d Bartmann said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are working very closely with the SAPS to follow any leads.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt appears the BMW had false licence plates.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The suspects fled in the direction of Spruitview.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe appeal to anyone who has any information to come forward,\u201d said Bartmann.<\/p>\n<p>The driver is currently in surgery.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:
