Do you Uber? And if you do\u00a0Uber<\/a>, do you chat to the driver?<\/p>\n

Since joining South Africa in 2013, Uber has grown exponentially. In 2017, it was reported<\/a> that they reached almost 1 million drivers in SA, so it may be safe to say that the number has grown even further in 2019.<\/p>

Not everybody is\u00a0for small talk or is\u00a0the type\u00a0to launch\u00a0into full-on conversations with everyone they meet. After all, we were raised to not talk to strangers. But if you are going to be spending a good 20 minutes or more with someone, you may want to break the ice\u00a0a bit \u2013 especially if you\u2019re stuck in traffic!<\/p>\n

We\u2019ve put together a couple of ways you can start conversations with your driver which may result in you not even realising that your trip has passed by quicker than you thought. We also get that\u00a0not everybody\u00a0wants<\/strong>\u00a0to chat either (see the end of the article for body language cues that your driver will – most likely – respect)!<\/p>
