incidences of domestic violence in the world.<\/p>\n<p>The Domestic Violence Act of 1998 (Act116 of 1998) was brought into effect in order to afford the victims of domestic violence protection from abuse.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>It was also through this Act that the country could take a stand against this form of violence.<\/p>\n<p>Victims of domestic violence should report the matter to the SAPS.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post
