that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>These were the words of Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police, following a recent visit to the Delport informal settlement.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<h4>ALSO READ: <a faced with gender-based violence<\/a><\/h4>\n<p>Maome, together with officers from the Primrose Police Station, community patrollers and members of the Primrose SAPS Crime Prevention Youth Desk visited the informal settlement to educate the community about gender-based violence issues.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe main purpose of the visit was to sensitise the residents of the informal settlement about gender-based violence that is happening in that area, including assaults, rapes and domestic violence,\u201d said Maome.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>\u201cResidents were encouraged to report incidents to the police and not take the law into their own hands.\u201d<\/p>\n<h4>ALSO READ:\u00a0<a class=\"anchor_post\"
