Life is all about connecting, but networking like we knew it has exchanged mingling at business and social gatherings, for how fast we can connect and access new online communication channels.

No longer do we talk about how many kilometres an hour our car goes, instead we brag about the speed that we can download megabits per second and, in place of postal and telephone services, we now talk about fibre to the home (FTTH) and the speed of fibre networks.

Vuma is recognised as a FTTH industry pioneer and a leading South African Fibre Network Operator (FNO). This means that Vuma builds and maintains the open-access fibre network infrastructure in our suburbs. These fibre networks are then accessed by Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to provide you with an internet connectivity solution.

The open access nature of Vuma’s fibre network offers the choice of over 300 data packages from more than 50 various ISPs. With Vuma fibre you are given the freedom of choice as you can choose the best-suited internet provider and internet package for your home and requirements.

Vuma is responsible for supporting the network infrastructure – the new glass cables that have been placed under ground and use light, instead of electricity like copper cables, to carry data at world-class internet speeds. In turn, the various ISPs are in charge of providing you with internet services to your home.

So, if you want to be connected to super-fast Vuma fibre, you need to contact an ISP who is on the Vuma fibre network. By doing this you will get to appreciate world-class internet speeds and experience uninterrupted connectivity like never before.
