{"id":219611,"date":"2019-10-02T09:32:01","date_gmt":"2019-10-02T07:32:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/germistoncitynews.co.za\/car\/naamsa-reports-vehicle-sales-still-low\/"},"modified":"2020-10-01T14:56:07","modified_gmt":"2020-10-01T12:56:07","slug":"naamsa-reports-vehicle-sales-still-low","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/develop.citizen.co.za\/germiston-city-news\/motoring\/2019\/10\/02\/naamsa-reports-vehicle-sales-still-low\/","title":{"rendered":"NAAMSA reports vehicle sales are still low"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For September, 37 707 of the total units sold, 76,7% represented dealer sales while an estimated 18,9% represented the rental industry. 3,1% of the total sales came from industry corporate fleets, and 1,3% from the government.\u00a0The total domestic new vehicles sold came to 49 191 units, 0.9% or 439 units less than the corresponding month in 2018.\u00a0 The new passenger vehicle market saw a small but welcome increase of 1.1% or 358 units in comparison to last year and reflects the steady increase in sales as the year progress.<\/p>\n<p>Commercial vehicles, bakkies and mini-buses sold a total of 13 473 units, 6.2% or 894 units less than last year while heavy trucks and buses sold the same amount as last year September. The medium commercial vehicle segment saw an increase of 14.0% with 790 units leaving dealerships.
