With diabetes, your body either doesn&#8217;t make enough insulin or can&#8217;t effectively use the insulin it does make.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<h4>ALSO READ:\u00a0<a class=\"anchor_post\" href=\"https:\/\/germistoncitynews.co.za\/113842\/mommies-to-be-get-some-helpful-tips\/\" target=\"_blank\">Mommies-to-be get some helpful tips<\/a><\/h4>\n<p>To help educate the community, Life Roseacres Hospital is inviting residents to attend their Diabetes Awareness Workshop on August 24.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop will be held at the hospital\u2019s coffee shop from 10.30am until noon.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>The workshop will include talks by Dr Andreas Stavrides (specialist physician), Anita Mostert (dietician) and Jade Young (podiatrist). They will cover topics including diabetes management, optimum blood sugar control with the right diet, dietary factors that affect sugar level, basic guidelines for a diabetic diet and foot care for
