target=\"_blank\">Renewed focus for Hospice East Rand<\/a><\/h4>\n<p>Hospice East Rand is offering an 11-month occupational certificate course as a home-based carer (National Qualifications Framework Level Three) to 20 learners from previously disadvantaged backgrounds.<\/p>\n<p>Candidates wishing to apply for the course must have a Grade 12 certificate and be between the ages of 19 and 25 years old.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>Further requirements:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Must have compassion, empathy and a great desire to care for the sick and their families.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Must be completely committed to finishing the course for the stipulated period.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Candidates must be able to transport themselves to and from the training venue in Benoni and to workplace allocations for the practical component.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 The course is suitable for learners who did not qualify for university entrance after
