Power should be restored to all affected areas &#8211; says councillor"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Following a meeting with the HOD for Energy Mark Wilson,\u00a0Ward 39 councillor Alta de Beer, has announced that power to most of the affected areas in Germiston should have been restored.<\/p>\n<p>ALSO READ:\u00a0<a stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>&#8220;Power to most of the affected areas should of been restored,&#8221; said de Beer.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;If residents are still without power they are advised to first check their home distribution boxes (DBs) for any trips before logging a new call with the metro&#8217;s call-taking centre.&#8221;<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>De Beer urged all residents\u00a0and businesses to keep the load balanced during the two peak periods daily (namely 7am to 9am and the area.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Elsburg&#8217;s power outage has been cause by a cable fault in the area,&#8221; said de Beer.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;A team is working on the fault and power should be restored later today.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>De Beer further stated that plans to stablise the power grid would be shared soon.<\/p>\n<p>Updates to follow as more information becomes
