donation brings smiles to children"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Four brand-new wheelchairs were donated by the Al-Imdaad Foundation to Ithembelihle LSEN School\u2019s learners on June 19.<\/p>\n<p>The school, based in Primrose East, has 331 disabled learners from Grade R to Grade 10.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>Almost half of them reside in the school\u2019s hostel.<\/p>\n<p>The school\u2019s physiotherapist, Gracious Kekana, welcomed the gesture from Al-Imdaad Foundation.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<div class='tie-fluid-width-video-wrapper tie-ignore-fitvid' style='margin-bottom: 30px;'>\n\t\t\t<iframe style='width: 100%; min-height: 300px; aspect-ratio: 16\/9;' src='https:\/\/www.youtube-nocookie.com\/embed\/tcvRObsasgI' loading='lazy'><\/iframe>\n\t\t<\/div>\n<p>\u201cThank you for the wheelchairs because most of these learners use the school\u2019s wheelchairs and have to leave them at school when they go home.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese wheelchairs will help them a lot as they can have one at school and the other at home,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Also present was Shanaaz Adam from Care 4 U 2 organisation.<\/p>\n<p>They facilitated the donation between these two entities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are a group of professionals and we do respite care which is the provision of short-term, temporary relief to those who are caring for family members living with disabilities,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:
