Albemarle beauty Jolene Stander (16) is growing from strength to strength in her modelling career.<\/p>\n
The young beauty, who is a Grade 11 learner at Ho\u00ebrskool Alberton, jetted off to Tokyo in Japan over the weekend to pursue an international modelling career.<\/p>
\u201cI am so excited and I hope this experience will lead to more opportunities for me, such as working in New York and other countries and becoming a top model,\u201d Jolene said.<\/p>\n
Jolene started modelling at the age of 13 at the Alberton branch of Figures Finesse International Modelling and Talent Agency.<\/p>
In the short time she has been on the catwalk she has seen phenomenal growth in her career.<\/p>\n
She was first named runner-up in the Figures National Model of the Year fashion model division in the girls\u2019 13 to 15 years age group in December 2017.<\/p>\n
She then won the International Model and Talent Association (IMTA) Talent Search competition in 2018 in the M1 division (height 1.7m and above).<\/p>\n
Jolene also won the Figures International Model of the Year in the M1 division, where 19 branches competed against each other at the Roodepoort Youth Theatre.<\/p>\n
She walked away with an all-expenses-paid trip to attend the SA IMTA Project Aspirant International Model (AIM) Convention aboard the MSC Musica.<\/p>\n
She also competed in the Miss High Schools SA 2018 competition and was chosen as one of the top 15 finalists.<\/p>\n
