Lillian Mofokeng, senior manager: marketing and communications for Gauteng Metrorail and Passenger Agency of South Africa (Prasa) has confirmed that there was a train fire in Studland Avenue, Dinwiddie, this morning (Tuesday).<\/p>\n
She told the GCN the fire was caused due to a rolling stock technical fault at Union Station.<\/p>
\u201cThere were no injuries and commuters were transported via shuttle buses around the affected areas,\u201d said Mofokeng.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe line was reopened at 9.01am and the train service is now running as normal.\u201d<\/p>
