takes to the N17 highway to tackle speedsters"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The EMPD High-Speed Unit targeted speeding motorists on the N17 highway between Guthrie and Heidelberg bridges in both directions between 5am and 10am on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>During the course of the operation, they arrested four drivers for exceeding the 120km\/h limit on that stretch of road.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>The alleged speedsters were all men, three of whom were driving in sedans and one in a heavy motor vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>The men, aged between 26 and 44, cited reasons from being late for work and for meetings to being late for deliveries.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post the Elsburg Police Station on charges of reckless and negligent driving but were later granted R1 500 bail each.<\/p>\n<p>They are expected to appear in the Germiston Magistrate\u2019s Court
