The Rand Show has always been synonymous with Easter time fun for the whole family and this year Easter is coming to the show in a big way with one of the biggest Easter egg hunts that Joburg has ever seen.

With over 75 000 Beacon Easter eggs to be found, it’s one jumbo hunt, sponsored by Beacon, with a hefty haul for chocolate lovers across the city.

Anyone can join in the fun, so come on down to the Rand Show this Easter weekend, April 19 to 21, and let the hunt begin.

All you have to do to be a part of it is to hop on over to the Beacon Easter start station where you can meet the Beacon Easter bunny, have your picture taken with him and get your very own treasure map to the feast of fun.

Not your traditional old Easter hunt, egg-splorers will be treated to a bunch of thrills as they follow the map, solve the clues that will be handed out by some of their favourite Beacon characters and whizz their way back to the bunny to collect their Beacon Easter spoils.

The hunt is made even sweeter with the chance for lucky hunters who complete the challenge to win a cracking Easter hamper bursting with yummy Beacon goodies.

The entertainment at this year’s 125th anniversary of the Rand Show is jam-packed with activities to keep the kids entertained, so after the hunt make sure you pop into the KidZone in hall eight.

There your little ones can bounce around on jumping castles, take a ride in the rocket, take on some competitors in games of table tennis, foosball and air hockey and enjoy an exciting train ride.

The KidZone is fully supervised and face painters will also be on hand to turn them into their favourite characters.

There is definitely no Easter that compares to a Rand Show Easter, so pack the family in the car and get ready for all the thrills, chills, fun and action that Joburg’s Best Day Out has to offer. It’s guaranteed to be an egg-stravaganza for young and old.
