Bright, open, airy and welcoming.<\/p>\n
These words could best describe the paediatric ward at the Life Roseacres Hospital which recently received a revamp.<\/p>
\u201cChange and growth are very important,\u201d said the hospital’s marketing coordinator Karen Landsberg when she gave the GCN a tour of the ward, on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
During the visit, the GCN was introduced to the ward\u2019s new unit manager, Sr Roewayda Goldsworthy.<\/p>
\u201cThe revamp took about two months to complete, with work starting in late December,\u201d explained Goldsworthy, who became unit manager in January.<\/p>\n
As a lot of the work was done during the hospital\u2019s quiet time in December when there were little to no disruptions.<\/p>\n
