Stage Two loadshedding is happening"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Eskom implemented Stage Two rotational loadshedding from 8am today (Friday).<\/p>\n<p>Loadshedding is expected to continue until 11pm tonight.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>This is a result of a shortage of generating capacity.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>Customers are reminded to treat all electrical points as live during loadshedding.<\/p>\n<p>Stage Two calls for 2\u00a0000MW to be rotationally loadshed nationally at a given period.<\/p>\n<p>Loadshedding is conducted rotationally as a measure of last resort to protect the power system from a total collapse or blackout.<\/p>\n<p>Eskom appeals to residents and businesses to use electricity sparingly during this period.<\/p>\n<p>Switch off all geysers, as well as non-essential lighting and electric
