Stage Two loadshedding is happening"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Eskom implemented Stage Two rotational loadshedding from 9am today (Monday, February 11).<\/p>\n<p>Loadshedding is expected to continue until 10pm tonight.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>\u201cAlthough a number of generating units have returned to service as per the nine-point recovery plan, regrettably additional units continue to trip,\u201d Eskom said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis results in a shortage of generating capacity.\u201d<\/p><div during loadshedding.<\/p>\n<p>Stage Two calls for 2\u00a0000MW to be rotationally loadshed nationally at a given period.<\/p>\n<p>Loadshedding is conducted rotationally as a measure of last resort to protect the power system from a total collapse or blackout.<\/p>\n<p>Eskom appeals to residents and businesses to use electricity sparingly during this period.<\/p>\n<p>Switch off all geysers, as well
