{"id":194183,"date":"2018-12-13T15:35:32","date_gmt":"2018-12-13T13:35:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/germistoncitynews.co.za\/194183\/afri-berry-wins-sixth-annual-africa-hair-awards\/"},"modified":"2018-12-13T15:35:32","modified_gmt":"2018-12-13T13:35:32","slug":"afri-berry-wins-sixth-annual-africa-hair-awards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/develop.citizen.co.za\/germiston-city-news\/news-headlines\/2018\/12\/13\/afri-berry-wins-sixth-annual-africa-hair-awards\/","title":{"rendered":"Afri-Berry wins at sixth annual Africa Hair Awards"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Founder of Afri-Berry, Relebogile Moeng (37) walked away with two awards &#8211; \u2018Best Hair and Beauty Entrepreneur of the Year\u2019 and \u2018Natural Hair Product Range of the Year\u2019 &#8211; at the 2018 Africa Hair Awards, which took place in Durban over the past weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Moeng said the awards are close to her heart because she is proudly South African and she went home with feelings of achievement and pride.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>\u201cBagging the awards has given the company more recognition.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is a blessing to add to other awards we have, to endorse what we do and what we stand for,\u201d said Moeng.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-334381 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/benonicitytimes.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/26\/2018\/12\/afriberry2-461x400.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"461\" height=\"400\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Moeng said that they are blessed as a company to be in Mzansi because they understand the needs of their clients better and they are closer to the people and more involved in community-based events and initiatives.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>ALSO READ:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/benonicitytimes.co.za\/328805\/making-waves-in-the-hair-industry-2\/\" target=\"_blank\">Local making waves in the hair industry<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The former Daveyton resident started her product in 2011, as the result of a tragic accident in 2008 which left her with facial injuries.
