As you make your festive season plans, spare a thought for abandoned and stray animals.

The Germiston SPCA is appealing to the community to help the society take care of them.

To this end, the SPCA has launched a fun competition called Name our Pig.

So far R1 880 has been raised to assist the animals.

The competition to name the pig who lives at the SPCA will go a long way in helping her and the rest of the animals at the Germiston SPCA over the festive season.

The pig is a beautiful large white pig and she is seven months old.

It is so easy to enter.

All you need to do is make a donation to the Germiston SPCA either via EFT or by visiting the kennels in Junction Road, Driehoek.

When making your donation, you must furnish the SPCA with your name (first name and surname), your proposed name for the pig and your contact number.
