Today is Cookie Day and what better way to spend it than enjoying some yummy chocolate chip cookies.<\/p>\n

Here is an easy chocolate chip recipe that you can whip up.<\/p>

You will need:<\/strong><\/p>

  • 225g caster sugar.<\/li>\n
  • 300g plain flour (sifted).<\/li>\n
  • 200g of butter melted.<\/li>\n
  • One teaspoon vanilla extract.<\/li>\n
  • One teaspoon of baking powder.<\/li>\n
  • A pinch of salt.<\/li>\n
  • One egg.<\/li>\n
  • 200g chocolate chips.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    What to do:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Add the sugar and melted butter in a bowl and mix together.<\/p>\n

    Sift the flour, baking powder, vanilla and salt together and add to the sugar and butter mixture. Add the chocolate chips.<\/p>\n

    Mix together using your hand. Once you get a dough texture, add the egg and knead using your hand again.<\/p>\n

    Spread some butter onto a baking tray. Take some of the dough, roll into ball then flatten a little. Keep them on the small side as they spread out during baking. Also, don\u2019t keep biscuits close to each other otherwise they will get stuck together.<\/p>\n

    Place in the oven and bake at 160 degrees Celsius for 10 to 20 minutes. The bigger the cookies, the longer they\u2019ll take to cook. They\u2019re ready when the edges are a bit golden.<\/p>\n
