After a\u00a0hot couple of the days in Germiston the\u00a0South African Weather Service<\/a>\u00a0has warned residents to be on alert as severe thunderstorms and heavy rain could hit the province in the late afternoon heading into the evening.<\/p>\n

The service has predicted that the wet weather will last the rest of the week and into the weekend.<\/p>

In addition to this, residents are warned to prepare for a hot week as a heatwave sweeps through the province.<\/p>\n

Temperatures are set to hits highs of 35 degrees on Tuesday and Wednesday and remain in the 30s until Friday.<\/p>

To protect your health during these hot temperatures, remember to keep cool, drink plenty of liquids and stay out of the sun as much as possible.<\/p>\n

Heatstroke and dehydration are a serious risk for both animals and humans during this time.<\/p>\n
