The Germiston SPCA’s Name our Pig competition has got off to a flying start with a number of donations and name choices coming in.

So far R1 290 has been raised.

As the festive season approaches, the SPCA will be in need of extra funds to care for the influx of animals over this period, as well as those already in the kennels.

The competition to name the pig who lives at the SPCA will go a long way in helping her and the rest of the animals at the Germiston SPCA over the festive season.

The pig is a beautiful large white pig and she is seven months old.

It is so easy to enter.

All you need to do is make a donation to the Germiston SPCA either via EFT or by visiting the kennels in Junction Road, Driehoek.

When making your donation, you must furnish the SPCA with your name (first name and surname), your proposed name for the pig and your contact number.
