The Miss Eagle South Africa 2018 competition has been running for over a year now, and its drawing to an end.<\/p>\n

The competition has four stages: contestant, brand ambassador, semi-finalist and finalist, which have all been described as challenging by Brenda Madondo who has reached the finals.<\/p>

Brenda, a 24-year-old from Malvern East, is ecstatic to have reached the finals and strives to be crowned the Miss Eagle SA empress for 2018.<\/p>\n

Suncoast Casino in KwaZulu-Natal will host the big night on December 17 and she will be among those waiting to hear their name called out.<\/p>

\u201cIt has been a long, fulfilling journey, which taught us about selflessness, specifically in the contestant stage,\u201d said Brenda.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur commitment to the pageant, its projects and understanding the art of service without expecting anything in return was constantly tested.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Unisa graduate, who holds a national diploma in safety and health management, said the competition largely focused on women empowerment and living as a beauty with brains and a purpose.<\/p>\n

\u201cLearning about brand management and living a brand challenged us to represent the competition in a noble way, minding our behaviour at all times.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were encouraged to read books which would build unshakeable characters and distinguish any fears which may hinder us,\u201d said Brenda.<\/p>\n

The third stage proved the more challenging of the four for Brenda, who said among a number of tasks, she battled to answer the question \u2018What is self-development?\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cLearning how to build a positive mindset, and carry a good energy that could be transferred to everyone I met was tough.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were also encouraged to write our own books,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Although the tasks in the third level were tough for Brenda, completing them helped her stand out in the competition, earning her a position in the finals.<\/p>\n

\u201cA lot of people have invested their time in making every contestant a better woman and now it is crunch time.<\/p>\n

\u201cOn December 17, only one person will be crowned empress.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am a winner already, despite whom the announcer may call out next month,\u201d Brenda said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI walk away from this pageant as a model, author, motivational speaker and many other things.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne can only be grateful because ultimately I walk away as an empowered woman.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brenda said her experience in the pageant was one she had to share with other women and she encouraged every young woman to enter this life-changing competition.<\/p>\n
