Extreme motorsport enthusiasts will be thrilled to know that the Gymkhana GRiD World Finals will take place at Carnival City on December 1, from 10am.<\/p>\n
This will be the second time that Carnival City will play host to the outrageously popular Gymkhana GRiD after it was held at the complex for the first time in 2017.<\/p>
It was also the first time that the Gymkhana GRiD had ventured to South African shores.<\/p>\n
This year\u2019s event celebrates Gymkhana GRiD\u2019s heart-stopping year of competition and features a unique competition format.<\/p>
Some 50 international drivers will go head-to-head in two classes, burning rubber on a custom designed track.<\/p>\n
The layout is faster and more technical than before, offering a fresh set of challenges to test man and machine to the edge of their abilities.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are thrilled to bring back the Gymkhana GRiD to Gauteng for the second consecutive year.<\/p>\n
\u201cLast year\u2019s season finale was absolutely adrenaline pumping.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe cannot wait to see the drivers in action again,\u201d said Michelle Smith, marketing manager for Carnival City.<\/p>\n
She explained that staging extreme motor sporting events like Gymkhana GRiD is aligned with Carnival City\u2019s promise to provide diverse and exciting entertainment to the community.<\/p>\n
\u201cOver the years, we have brought some of the most exhilarating motorsports, drifting and extreme sporting events to Ekurhuleni.<\/p>\n
\u201cVisitors have flocked to watch these events and the response to Gymkhana GRiD in 2017 was overwhelming.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are looking forward to hosting it again,\u201d said Michelle.<\/p>\n
