Netcare 911 paramedics responded to reports of an industrial incident in Elandsfontein at 7.36am on Saturday.<\/p>\n
\u201cReports from the scene indicated that a 25-year-old factory worker had been knocked down and crushed by a forklift,\u201d said Shawn Herbst, media liaison officer for Netcare Limited, Netcare 911.<\/p>
\u201cThe patient had sustained serious injuries to his upper torso and required advanced life support intervention.\u201d<\/p>\n
Due to the nature of the injury the Netcare 911 Air Ambulance was called to rapidly transport the man to hospital.<\/p>
