{"id":189389,"date":"2018-10-17T16:11:49","date_gmt":"2018-10-17T14:11:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/germistoncitynews.co.za\/189389\/afrisam-comes-rescue-needy-children\/"},"modified":"2018-10-17T16:11:49","modified_gmt":"2018-10-17T14:11:49","slug":"afrisam-comes-rescue-needy-children","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/develop.citizen.co.za\/germiston-city-news\/news-headlines\/2018\/10\/17\/afrisam-comes-rescue-needy-children\/","title":{"rendered":"AfriSam comes to the rescue of needy children"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>AfriSam\u00a0donated school shoes to needy children in the Villa Liza community, east of Johannesburg.<br \/>\nThe company which believes in investing in the future of children through education held a handover ceremony with the community of Villa Liza where 114 school shoes were handed out to school children.<br \/>\nThe children that benefitted were all from the Villa Liza community and identified by the community leaders.<\/p>\n<p>During the ceremony, AfriSam\u2019s Themba Baloyi , said;<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<blockquote><p>\u2018We are proud to be working for a company that gives back to the community and changes the lives of the children. \u201cThe children are the future and they represent innocence. It is great that the company is able to assist in any way to make it easier for them to get to school so they can concentrate on learning,\u201d he said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>A community representative Dumisani Mtshali said; the community is grateful to AfriSam for the shoes as some children did not have them and wore worn out shoes.
