EMPD officers were out in full force over the long weekend patrolling Ekurhuleni\u2019s highways.<\/p>\n
In the Germiston area, officers were out on the N3 highway southbound, near the Rand Airport off-ramp, between 5am and 10am, last Sunday.<\/p>
Two motorists were nabbed when caught doing speeds in excess of the 120km\/h speed limit.<\/p>\n
At 6.40am, a 31-year-old male driver behind the wheel of a white MG sedan was clocked at 182km\/h.<\/p>
He said he was rushing home.<\/p>\n
The second speedster was nabbed doing 171km\/h at 9am.<\/p>\n
The 27-year-old male driver, who was driving a white Audi A1, also claimed that he was rushing home.<\/p>\n
