The metro has distanced itself from a bogus chainsaw motorised vehicles tender scam circulating and scamming people of their hard-earned money.<\/p>\n
The culprits send possible victims an appointment letter bearing the metro\u2019s logo, together with the fraudulently generated order number, for bidders to bid to supply chainsaws to the metro for 12 months.<\/p>
The victims are thereafter given specific specs of the chainsaw motorised vehicle that is only available from one service provider and are requested to deposit a certain amount of money before delivering the goods.<\/p>\n
This is a scam and the metro distances itself from it.<\/p>
An investigation is currently underway to establish if there is any involvement of metro officials in this scam.<\/p>\n
Entrepreneurs are encouraged to be aware of the unauthorised use of the metro\u2019s name, email address, employee names and logos.<\/p>\n
