safer and cleaner home for babies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>El-Shammah Home for Abandoned Babies and Place of Safety was delighted to host a number of visitors who came bearing gifts on Mandela Day.<\/p>\n<p>The home had a wish list where they had recorded all their needs and to their surprise they had a number of donors willing to assist.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post premises.<\/p>\n<p>They also installed an air conditioner in one of their rooms.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>Making the day warmer was Ward 36 councillor Wendy Morgan, who stopped in with warm, knitted jerseys for the babies and scarves for the staff.<\/p>\n<p>HP stores donated office supplies, maintenance vouchers and baby essentials.<\/p>\n<p>Netcare donated much-needed disposable items in abundance.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThank you to everyone for spending time with us and to Diversey for installing new sanitising
