The metro has extended provision of universal healthcare services to informal settlements through adequately staffed and equipped mobile clinics.<\/p>\n
The mobile clinics visit identified informal settlements across Ekurhuleni and operate from 9am to 3pm.<\/p>
The mobile clinics are staffed by two nurses and serve informal settlement communities that do not have a clinic within a 3km to 5km radius.<\/p>\n
Thinasonke informal settlement near Alberton is one of the informal settlements which is served by the metro\u2019s mobile clinic.<\/p>
Thando Sithole, mother to six-month-old Awakhe, attested to the quality of the services offered through the clinic.<\/p>\n
She has relied on its services to get routine immunisations for Awakhe.<\/p>\n
