Gauteng residents are\u00a0urged\u00a0keep warm as a cold front is predicted to hit the province.<\/p>\n
The\u00a0South African Weather Service<\/a>\u00a0has warned Johannesburg residents to prepare for a significant drop in temperatures from\u00a0Monday evening.<\/p> The drop in temperatures is attributed to the\u00a0cold front, accompanied by snowfall, which is arrived on the shores of the Western Cape late on Sunday.<\/p>\n This cold front will bring cold temperatures to parts of Gauteng, Mpumalanga, KwaZuluNatal and over the eastern parts of the North West, as well as, the northern and eastern parts of the Free State, from Monday.<\/p> Minimum temperatures in Gauteng are predicted to drop to as low as 1\u00b0C degrees, while maximum temperatures will remain in the\u00a0mid to low teens throughout the week.<\/p>\n Full list of warnings:<\/strong><\/p>\n Strong winds are expected in places of Gauteng, mainly during the afternoon.<\/p>\n Has been predicted for parts of Gauteng, and may lead to flooding.<\/p>\n Road flooding may be a possibility due to heavy rainfall in the northern parts of Tshwane with a focus on the Hammanskraal area spreading very slowly south to the Cullinan area.<\/p>\n Due to the drop in temperature frost is expected in places in Gauteng.<\/p>\n People living in informal settlements have been urged to be careful when keeping warm, while pet owners are\u00a0urged to ensure their animals\u00a0have appropriate shelter during this time.<\/p>\nALSO READ:\u00a0<\/strong>Take precautions in the cold<\/a><\/h4>\n
