west of Gauteng &#8211; where the water finds its way to the Klip River.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>Victoria Lake Canoe Club (VLC) members Bobby Damalis, who is a veteran endurance athlete with many years of experience, and Paul Nel, a relatively new paddler to the river who will enjoy his first Dusi event, tackled the race as a team.<\/p>\n<p>The pair survived the huge rapids and the portage runs and finished the 64km event over the two days in a time of five hours and 30 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span
