killed over festive season in Germiston"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Over the festive season there were 12 fatal accidents recorded in the Germiston area.<\/p>\n<p>The fatalities included two pedestrians, eight passengers and two drivers.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>One pedestrian was run over at the intersection of Barlow and Signal roads and the other one was killed in Katlehong at the corner of Mosoeu and Matsemela streets.<\/p>\n<p>In the only major accident in Ekurhuleni during the festive season, six passengers &#8211; three women and three men &#8211; were killed in a minibus taxi accident on the M2 highway eastbound at the Geldenhuys Interchange.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>A female passenger was also killed in a minibus taxi accident in Phumula Park at the corner of Luthando and Leondale roads.<\/p>\n<p>On the N3 highway near Leondale, a male driver was killed when his sedan collided with a heavy motor vehicle and another male driver was killed at the intersection of the M7 and Brickfield Road in Katlehong.<\/p>\n<p>A
