Board of inquiry to probe train collision"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A board of inquiry will be instituted to determine the root cause of Tuesday morning\u2019s train collision in Germiston.<\/p>\n<p>The announcement by Gauteng Metrorail comes after two Metrorail commuter trains collided at the Geldenhuys Station at about 7.45am.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>The trains were both travelling on the same line from Johannesburg towards Springs.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement, Metrorail Gauteng said that emergency services attended to 226 injured commuters (67 moderately, 159 lightly injured) on the scene.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>\u201cAt the moment, trains running between Johannesburg and Germiston are running on a single line with associated 60-minute delays experienced,\u201d the statement read.<\/p>\n<p>Metrorail has set up a walk-in centre at 30 Wolmarans Street, Umjantshi House in Braamfontein, Johannesburg for commuters who were involved in the accident.<\/p>\n<p>Alternatively,
