update: Trains were using same track"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ekurhuleni Disaster Management and Emergency Services members also attended the scene of the train collision in Germiston on Tuesday morning.<\/p>\n<p>Eric Maloka, media liaison for the metro, told the GCN the collision between two Metrorail commuter trains occurred at about 7.45am at the Geldenhuys Station.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>\u201cApparently both trains were travelling from Johannesburg towards Springs on the same track,\u201d Maloka said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAccording to a Metrorail representative, one train was stationary as there was a sign of a fault, and the train driver was attending to that when the other train was also authorised to travel on that track.\u201d<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<figure id=\"attachment_170055\" with minor to moderate injuries.<\/p>\n<p>All patients were transported to various hospitals, including the Tambo Memorial, South Rand, Hillbrow and Life Roseacres hospitals.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe scene was officially handed over to Metrorail at approximately 9.52am for them to start with their investigation,\u201d Maloka said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe other two tracks were still operational, and Metrorail
