The Ekurhuleni mayor and ANC regional chairperson Mzwandile Masina found himself in hot water following the election of Cyril Ramaphosa as the new ANC president.<\/p>\n
Masina, who is allegedly a staunch supporter of President Jacob Zuma, was in full support of Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma during the election of the new ANC president.<\/p>
He was quoted in a number of newspapers saying he would resign as mayor and remain an ordinary member of the ANC and as councillor if Ramaphosa won.<\/p>\n
In the build-up to the ANC elective conference in Nasrec, Masina, a vocal Dlamini Zuma supporter, insinuated that Ramaphosa was exclusively a white people\u2019s candidate.<\/p>
\u201cIf Nkosazana loses, white people will lead SA.<\/p>\n
\u201cI will not be a part of it.<\/p>\n
\u201cI will not be mayor of Ekurhuleni, but I will leave the ANC in power,\u201d said Masina<\/p>\n
