Simply donate your pre-loved baby clothes to the El-Shammah Home for Abandoned Babies and Place of Safety, in Primrose.<\/p>\n<p>Your donation, however small, could make an amazing difference in the life of a baby who has nothing.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>The home was officially opened on May 13, 2009 and is currently run by Alistair and Merencia Scholtz.<\/p>\n<p>The facility is not an orphanage, but rather a place of safety, where abandoned babies can stay and be cared for and loved until the Children\u2019s Court safe and neat home environment \u2013 a place of love, care and protection.<\/p>\n<p>The babies are lovingly cared for by full-time, qualified and trained caregivers who are on hand 24-hours a day, seven days a week.<\/p>\n<p>The El-Shammah Home for Abandoned Babies also has a \u2018hole in the wall\u2019, where mothers can leave their unwanted babies.<\/p>\n<p>It offers a safe, dry and warm place for the baby.<\/p>\n<p>Caregivers check the \u2018hole in the wall\u2019 on a regular basis.<\/p>\n<p>If you would like to get involved or make a donation, contact the home on 011 054
