With the festive season approaching quickly people are getting in the mood to celebrate.

Unfortunately, it is also the time of the year when animals are abandoned or find themselves as strays on the streets of the city.

This is where the Germiston SPCA comes in to care for the influx of animals.

The Christmas Cheer Fund raises money to care for all those animals in need over the festive season.

Currently, the total is sitting at R16 800 but far more is needed to take care of all the extra animals over the festive season.

The community is urged to dig deep into their pockets to help animals this festive season.

All donations, big or small, are greatly appreciated and donors will be acknowledged in the GCN on a weekly basis.
