Gear up and get your cleats on – it\u2019s almost time for the Carnival City Macsteel National Classic.<\/p>\n
This ever popular event is the same format as last year, starting with an MTB race on October 28 followed by the usual road race on October 29.<\/p>
The event will be held three weeks before the Telkom 947 Cycle Challenge.<\/p>\n
The Carnival City Macsteel National Classic is a Cycling South Africa sanctioned event which attracts thousands of entries every year.<\/p>
It is also a seeding event for the 2018 Cape Cycle Tour.<\/p>\n
This year is the 34th edition of the event and promises to be bigger and better than ever.<\/p>\n
The new Carnival City Macsteel National Cycle Classic comprises a 60km and 34km mountain bike race, as well as two short mountain bike races of 12km and 6km and children\u2019s mountain bike races of 3km and 1km.<\/p>\n
