Lynette Nance-Kivell from Nance-Kivell Attorneys argued for an interdict to prohibit the relocation of residents from the Angelo informal settlement in Boksburg to Germiston, on Thursday, in the Johannesburg High Court.<\/p>\n
Nance-Kivell is representing the residents of Marlands against the metro.<\/p>
Judge Weiner reserved judgement in the matter.<\/p>\n
Both sides have been requested to make written submissions on:<\/p>
\u2022 What enabling provision allows the metro to ignore the building regulations and zoning requirements?<\/p>\n
\u2022 A reworked order for the judge\u2019s consideration.<\/p>\n
These submissions are to be made by October 30.<\/p>\n
In the interim, the metro is interdicted from continuing any further building works, relocating the Angelo residents and must ensure that nobody occupies the property pending the judge\u2019s judgement.<\/p>\n
