Local high school teacher, Werner Neveling (GCN, July 7) has returned home with a trophy from the IBFF (International Bodybuilding Fitness Federation) Welkom Classic.<\/p>\n
The competition took place at the Ferdi Meyer Hall in Welkom and Neveling competed in the men\u2019s bodybuilding tall (over 1.79m) division.<\/p>
He performed extremely well and took second place.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was a very long day which started at 5am, but I was extremely happy with my placing,\u201d Neveling said.<\/p>
\u201cBefore a competition you need to practise your posing for at least an hour every day to make sure it is perfect.\u201d<\/p>\n
Leading up to the show Neveling followed a hectic training programme and prepared for 14 weeks.<\/p>\n
He did cardio exercises six times a week.<\/p>\n
He spent another hour every day working on each muscle group.<\/p>\n
