day to show your love for trees.

Among other things, trees play an important role in reducing erosion and moderating the climate.

They remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and store large quantities of carbon in their tissues and give us oxygen.

Trees also provide shelter, timber for construction, fuel which assists in cooking and heating, fruit and many other uses.

Trees are a precious gift to us and we should recognise and celebrate them, not just on Love a Tree Day, but every day.

You can show your appreciation for trees by giving them a great big hug.

Planting a new tree is another way to celebrate this day.

Research more about them and discover just how much we get from trees; this could increase your love for trees.

Take time to enjoy the beauty of the trees in your yard, neighbourhood and all around you.

Taking care of trees is also another great way to celebrate them.

Also read:

Watch: Happy Mother’s Day to
