Guides delighted to attend special camp"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Six young members of the First Germiston Girl Guides were recently selected to attend a regional camp at Ebenezer Farm, in Delmas.<\/p>\n<p>The girls were thrilled to attend the camp, which saw 50 Girl Guides from all over Gauteng East come together to make new friends, while enjoying a number of fun outdoor activities.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>Girl Guides SA is a non-profit organisation (NPO) that empowers girls and women to reach their fullest potential through a dynamic programme which teaches members how to become responsible citizens, as well as imparting important leadership, sustainability and humanity skills.<\/p>\n<p>The Girl Guides objective is to nurture core manners, values and morals in young women, which will assist them to become good community leaders.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>The First Lambton Teddies caters for girls aged from four to seven years old, while Brownies caters for girls from seven to 10 years old.<\/p>\n<p>The First Germiston Guides caters for older girls from 10 to 15 years old; from 15 onwards girls will become Rangers.<\/p>\n<p>If you need more information or would like to get
