{"id":150805,"date":"2017-05-06T06:00:00","date_gmt":"2017-05-06T04:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/germistoncitynews.co.za\/150805\/valuation-roll-open-for-inspection\/"},"modified":"2017-05-06T06:36:33","modified_gmt":"2017-05-06T04:36:33","slug":"valuation-roll-open-for-inspection","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/develop.citizen.co.za\/germiston-city-news\/news-headlines\/2017\/05\/06\/valuation-roll-open-for-inspection\/","title":{"rendered":"Valuation roll open for inspection"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ekurhuleni\u2019s third valuation roll is open for inspection, as per section 49(1)(a)(i) of the Local Government Property Rates Act, 2004.<\/p>\n<p>Residents can view the roll on the metro\u2019s website at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ekurhuleni.gov.za\/\">www.ekurhuleni.gov.za <\/a>or at any municipal office (weekdays between 8.30am and 3.30pm) until June 5.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>Germiston and Katlehong residents can inspect the role at the following offices:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Germiston CCC \u2013 Rates Hall, corner of President and Spilsbury streets, Germiston CBD Contact 011 999 0432\/0416.<\/li>\n<li>Katlehong CCC \u2013 Rates Hall, 2098 Masakhane Street. Contact 011 999 5622\/1318.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Objections:<\/strong><\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>In terms of section 49(1)(a)(ii) of the act, any property owner, or any other person who so desires, can lodge an objection in this regard.<\/p>\n<p>The objection must be in relation to a specific individual property and not against the valuation roll as such.<\/p>\n<p>Objection forms are available in the categories \u2013 agricultural, non-residential and residential.<\/p>\n<p>They can be downloaded from the metro\u2019s website.<\/p>\n<p>The completed form must be hand-delivered to the municipal office where the account is held.<\/p>\n<p>Please remember to bring along the Section 49 notice when you submit your objection, as this will expedite the submission process.<\/p>\n<p>Please note that no form of electronic submission will be accepted.<\/p>\n<p>The closing date has been extended to June 5
