asked residents to be prepared for more thunderstorms, heavy rainfall and hot weather.<\/p>\n<p>A 60 per cent chance of rainfall has been\u00a0predicted in the province for the remainder of the week, with temperatures remaining in the high 20s to low 30s.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<p>The service this morning released the following warnings:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Severe Thunderstorms<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Severe thunderstorms with the possibility of heavy downpours, localised flooding and hail are expected in parts of Gauteng for the remainder of the week.<\/p><div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\"><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>High discomfort values<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Hot and humid weather will result in extremely uncomfortable conditions over Gauteng for the rest of the week heading into the weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Motorists are reminded to take the necessary precautions when travelling.<\/p>\n<p>They are encouraged to reduce speed and increase their following distances and headlights should be kept on at all times to increase visibility.<\/p>\n<p>Residents should also ensure that their pets have appropriate shelter and enough clean water.<\/p>\n<div class=\"eventreport\">\n<p><strong>Reminder \u2013 The community
