Carnival City will be a hive of thrilling motorcycling action on January 14, with awe-inspiring stunts, men on fire, Harley-Davidson rides and more.<\/p>\n
The event, Fire Stunt, to start in the venue\u2019s parking lot at 2pm, will include a static display of new and currently owned Harley-Davidson motorcycles.<\/p>
Live bands and entertainers will perform throughout the afternoon and there’ll be food and refreshments available, at an array of stalls.<\/p>\n
As the sun sets and dusk creeps in, two of South Africa\u2019s oldest stuntmen will literally play with fire.<\/p>
First, 60-year old Enrico Schoeman will be set on fire, before riding the gauntlet through a tunnel of raging flames.<\/p>\n
Then, 62-year old Andre de Kock will crash a burning car through a pyramid of burning car wrecks.<\/p>\n
De Kock and Schoeman are the current holders of the Guinness World Record for riding a motorcycle through a tunnel of fire.<\/p>\n
It will be the last stunt ride for Schoeman\u2019s trusty motorbike, as it’ll be auctioned at the end of the event – with proceeds raised from the auction, to be donated to Cansa.<\/p>\n
This presents a special opportunity for motorcycle enthusiasts to bid on a Guinness World Record-holding motorcycle.<\/p>\n
The highest bidder will drive away with a famous bike, while making a contribution to a good cause.<\/p>\n
Gold Rand Harley will also invite motorcyclists to test ride five of their latest Harley-Davidsons.<\/p>\n
Riders must bring their valid motorcycle driver\u2019s licence and a crash helmet.<\/p>\n
Various Harley-Davidson clubs have been invited to display their machines in the parking lot, with a competition to find the most beautiful, most soulful and cleanest Harley, to be held in the afternoon.<\/p>\n
There’ll be no admission charge for the above activities, apart from Carnival City\u2019s standard parking fee.<\/p>\n
Proceeds raised through the event will be donated to Cansa.<\/p>\n
